Defending champion Marc Marquez went on to set the pace on Friday as he topped the combined sheet. Maverick Vinales who was very impressive at Jerez testing came second. Fabio Quartararo was not impressive in FP1 but came back strongly with his teammate in FP2. And both Petronas Yamaha riders finished with impressive 1-2 in FP2. Friday saw both Marquez brothers crashing on the circuit. Luckily there was nothing serious and both resume their practice session. Spanish MotoGP Combined Practice Race Results

Marck Marquez topped the time-sheets in Jerez to set the pace on Friday. He secure no.1 position on the combined sheet and gave early sign of tough battle on Saturday. Maverick Vinales was not left far behind, as he secured the second spot on the time-sheet with Cal Cructhlow coming 3rd and Dovizoso securing the fourth spot. Pol Espargaro who has signed for Honda for the season 2021 secured the 8th spot. There were 5 different manufacturers in the top 10 riders.

The younger Marquez came 17th and last year sensation and Rookie of The Year, Fabio Quartararo came 17th. The legendary Valentino Rossi finished 13 on the list.
