He the most number of wins against his name along with most number of pole positions. He just equaled the record set by great Michael Schumacher by winning his 7th world championship this year. A rare feat which he achieved on Istanbul Park this year. Lewis is the premier voice behind diversity inclusion in formula 1. But everything did not go down well, Hamilton contracted Coronavirus after right before the Sakhir GP and missed the race. Hamilton just able to make it to the circuit right before the season finale in Abu Dhabi.

It is no secret that Lewis feels strongly for the Black Live Matter movement. He was deeply moved by the incident of George Flyod that took place in America which made him speak about it. He was quoted saying, “Too many people today face racism. So I decided to speak up. I did it to represent those who don’t have a voice. To encourage them to come out and break their silence.”
Lewis has already been awarded with the Game Changer award by British GQ magazine back in December at 23rd annual GQ Award.

On the sporting front Lewis has rejoined the racing circuit after fighting corona. He returned completed his 10 days quarantine in Bahrain and joined his team in Abu Dhabi for the season finale. In the qualifying race he finished 3rd behind Max Verstappen and Valtteri Bottas. He said that it would going to be a challenging race as he his not feeling 100% but it is always good to be back in car, and he is ready to fight for it.
