It Hurts to See Doctors Being beaten- Hima Das. Young Indian Athletic Star Shows Her Concern During Video Conference Meeting With Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today invited famous sports celebrities of India for a meeting through video conferencing.  There were total 49 famous sports personalities were invited for the discussion and young Hima Das was one of them. India is currently fighting Corona Pandemic the government has imposed 21 day nationwide lockdown to stem the transmission of the virus.

Hima Das is the first Indian sprinter to win gold medal at International Track event. She won gold medal in 400 m final at the World U-20 Championships 2018 held at Tampere, Finland, clocking 51.46. PM invited all sports persons to spread awareness about the current situation. He briefed about the steps government has taken and the plans to fight corona pandemic. The sprinter informed that all the invitee to told the honorable Prime Minister how they are spending their time during lockdown and what they are currently doing to spread awareness.

During her discussion with Mr. Narendra Modi, Hima Das, brought a very sensitive issue. She told the PM that it hurts to see the healthcare workers facing the burnt of the people who are not following the lockdown.

There have been incidences reported from some part of country where medical staff and police personnel have been attacked while they were preforming their duties. They were not allowed to carry out their duty they obstructed and attacked.

The Prime Minister has urged people of India to light a diya, candle or mobile flash light at 09:00 Pm on April 5, 2020, to show solidarity in the fight against Corona Pandemic. The video conference had some renown names like Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Pullela Gopichand, Sourav Ganguly, PV Sindhu, Viswanathan Anand, Bajrang Punia, Baichung Bhutia, Sardar Singh, Mirabai Chanu,  Anju Bobby George and others.
