Royal Challengers Bangalore
This season has been horrible for Royal Challengers Bangalore. They have played 11 matches till now. They have won 2, lost 8 while 1 match was abandoned due to rain. They are now placed last on the points table. The strongest batting combination of IPL consisting of Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers hasn’t clicked. They have lost early wickets in almost all matches and their middle order hasn’t been able to recover from the early jolts. Only Kedar Jadhav has shown some form; however, he hasn’t got any support from other batsmen. Skipper Virat Kohli would like the team to put up a good show in the remaining matches and end the season on a high note.
When it comes to bowling their bowling hasn’t done badly; however, they haven’t get enough support from the batting department. Yuzvendra Chahal and Pavan Negi have been bowled nicely for them. Sreenath Aravind has also bowled decently; however, same cannot be said for other bowlers.
Kings XI Punjab
Kings XI Punjab’s IPL 10 campaign has been topsy-turvy. They started well winning first two matches; however, they lost the next four. In total they have played 9 matches winning 4 of them and losting 5. They are placed 5th on points table. Kings XI Punjab is the main threat to the top four teams as they have some real chance to qualify for play-offs if they play to their potential in upcoming matches. South African Hashim Amla is in top form. Glenn Maxwell, Shaun Marsh Manan Vohra are in decent form. Sandeep sharma bowled brilliantly in the last match against Delhi Daredevils. Glenn Maxwell would hope for the same performance against Royal challengers Bangalore.
Last time these two teams met on 10th April, Kings XI Punjab won by 8 wickets. Hope to see a better performance from team RCB for an engaging contest.
