India vs West Indies ODI Series Squad Announced: Dynamic Dasher Rishabh Pant Makes to the ODI Team With Kohli Back In Charge

Indian team for the first two ODI against West Indies has been announced. India is currently playing second and the last test match of the series against West Indies in Hyderabad. The ODI series against West Indies will start from 21st October 2018. India vs West Indies ODI Series Squad was announced only for first 2 ODIs, the first ODI will take place on 21st October 2018, in Guwahati and 2nd ODI will take place in Visakhapatnam on October 24.

Rishabh Pant who impressed the selectors in the recently concluded tour of England and also in the first test against windies is given chance in ODIs as well. The dashing Delhi youngster might play the role of a pure batsman as Dhoni is supposed to don the glove behind stumps. Skipper Virat Kohli is also returning to the ODI after being rested for the ASIA cup.

Dinesh Kartik could not find a place in the Indian squad after a poor show in Asia cup. Kedar Jhadav & Hardik Pandya were left out due to injury. Shikhar Dhawan and Indian captain for the Asia cup Rohit Sharma returned to play the role of openers. By choosing Rishab Pant selectors have given clear indication that they would like to groom the youngster as the successor of MS Dhoni.

Rest of Jasprit Bumrah & Bhuvneshwar Kumar:

The regular ODI pacer Japrit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar rested keeping the busy tour of Australia in mind. Mohammed Shami was brought in and Khaleel Ahmed & Shardul Thakur retained their places.
