Skipper Virat Kohli hits a ton, India in strong position

After ending the first day on 364-4, India is tightening the noose on the second day. At lunch on day 2, India is at 506-5 (118 overs). Skipper Virat Kohli hit another hundred, his 24th overall. Wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant fell close to the century that would have been his second one.

Debutant Prithvi Shaw scores hundred

On day 1 Prithvi Shaw scored a century on debut becoming 15th Indian to do so. He scored 134 off 154 balls. Rahul could not open his account and would be cursing himself to let go this chance to get back the confidence. Cheteshwar Pujara at number 3 gave good company to young debutant and scored 86 off 130 balls. Both of them scored 206 runs in partnership. Ajinkya Rahane made 41 off 92 balls.

Skipper Virat Kohli is still playing at 120 off 215 balls while Ravindra Jadeja is batting at 19 off 33 balls. India will look to score close to 600 and then give bowlers to use the track to out Windies batsmen twice.

For Windies Devendra Bishoo was the most successful bowler with 2 scalps while Shannon Gabriel, Sherman Lewis, and Roston Chase took 1 wicket each.
