India and Sri Lanka to play first ODI at Dharamsala today


First ODI between India and Sri Lanka at Dharamsala

After the completion of 3 match Test series India and Sri Lank will play first of the three ODIs at Dharamsala on Sun, 10th December. India will be playing wihtout the skipper Virat Kohli as he asked BCCI for rest. Rohit Sharma will be leading the team in his absence. Hosts are favorite to win the first ODI; however, Sri Lankan side would be eager to perform better in limited overs matches. Fans can hope for a close contest between the two teams.

Match will be played at picturesque Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala and will be starting at 11:30 AM IST. Sri Lanka’s performance in limited overs matches hasn’t been good. They have won 4 matches while lost 26 ODIs in 2017 till now. On the other hand Indian team is beaming with confidence. They would like to carry forward their Test match’s performance to ODIs and T20s. If India win all three ODIs against Sri Lanka, they will be ranked No. 1.

Washington Sundar called in as Kedar Jadhav’s replacement

Injured Kedar Jadhav has been ruled out of the ODIs. BCCI has selected Washington Sundar as replacement. Kedar Jadhav was unable to recover on time. His injury will need more time to come back to the field. Washington Sundar has been in very good form.
