In ICC Women’s World Cup 2017 three semifinalists have been chosen. England, Australia and South Africa are set to qualify to semi-finals; however, one spot still remains. India and New Zealand will fight each other for that one spot to move to the knockout stage of the tournament.

Points and standings

England is currently at the top of the table with 5 wins in 6 matches. Australia has won the same number of matches too in 6 matches; however, England is ahead due to better run rate. India is at fourth spot after winning 4 matches out of the 6 matches they have played. Their net run rate is +0.150. Their opponent for the last league match New Zealand is at fifth spot. They have won 3 out of the 6 matches they have played. Their run rate is +1.386.


India will play New Zealand and both teams will look to win the match and move to the semifinals. In other matches Pakistan will play against Sri Lanka. Both teams have been eliminated. England will play with West Indies. England will look to win the match and keep the momentum going going into the next stage. West Indies is out of the contention of the next round. Australia will play against South Africa. Both teams will be up for the challenge and make it to the top.

India against New Zealand

If India wins their match against New Zealand they will qualify for the semi-finals with the 10 points. Depending on the other results they can move to third spot on the points table. In that case they will play against the team on the second spot. Team at the first spot will play against the fourth team on the points table.
