Amid world cup 2019, Sanjay Manjrekar continuously making headlines for all the wrong reasons. Former cricketer turned commentator is on a receiving end of the things off late. Earlier he was slammed by viewers for his biased commentary. Now, Indian all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja who is currently part of the Indian world cup squad has slammed Manjerekar for his comments.  It all started before India’s match against Bangladesh. The team management hinted the Jadeja could get a chance to play in India vs Bangladesh encounter on which Manjerkar made critical remarks.

What Did Manjrekar Said About Jadeja?

On hearing the news that Ravindra Jadeja could be included in the squad, Majerekar objected the idea and he quoted. “I am not a big fan of bits and pieces players which Jadeja is at this point of his career in 50-over cricket. In Test matches, he is a pure bowler. But in 50-over cricket, I would rather have a batsman and a spinner,” Manjrekar had said. This did not go down well with Ravindra Jadeja and he took on Twitter to blast Sanjay Manjrekar.

How Ravindra Jadeja Responded to Manjerakar’s Comments?

Jadeja who is yet to play a match in current ICC Cricket World cup slammed Manjerkar and quoted. “Jadeja hit out on Twitter, saying he had played more matches than Manjrekar and was still active. He tagged Manjrekar in his tweet and urged him to learn to respect people. Jadeja ended his tweet on a strong note, stating he had “heard enough of your verbal diarrhoea”.

It is highly likely that Ravindra Jadeja will get a game against Sri Lanka since India has already qualified for the semifinal. His inclusion will strengthen lower order batting, additional bowling option and a superb fielder. In the game against England which India lost it was Jadeja who helped to break the partnership of Roy and Bairstow by taking a stunner on the boundary with full-length diving forward catch.
