FIFA U-17 Football World Cup is a few months away, and as a result, our sports minister Vijay Goel will be visiting Jawaharlal Stadium Kochi. In order to check the progress of the preparation that is going on, this Friday, Vijay Goel will be in Kochi.

The preparation is behind schedule according to the sources. Kochi is the part of the grounds hosting U-17 FIFA World Cup and facilitates as a training ground as well. There were speculations of Kochi could be dropped from the list of FIFA world cup hosting ground due to delay.

FIFA Football U-17 World Cup: The Delay Complaint Received & The Deadlines

Vijay Goel will visit Kochi Stadium as he received some complaints regarding the delay in preparation. He himself wants to see all the preparation and how it is going on. Kochi is part of the six grounds where the matches will take place. After visiting this Kochi stadium he will visit rest of the 5 stadiums.

FIFA’s inspection team had complaint last month that the U-17 FIFA World Cup preparations are very slow in context to the event dates that were already finalized. Due to all this, the inspection team has set a deadline that is May 15.

FIFA World Cup preparation is going on full swing. This is the first time India is hosting such a mega football event like World Cup. It will be a great opportunity for the Indian youth and for India. Sports Minister Vijay Goel will be checking the things to avoid any mistake or delay for this event.
