Australian bowling was impressive as Nathan Coulter-Nile shook the Indian batting. Indian were struggling at 11-3 early in the inning. Rohit Sharma played decently; however, the highlight of the inning was the performance of Indian middle and lower order. Kedar Jadhav, MS Dhoni, Hardik Pandya and Bhuvneshwar Kumar took India to a very good score.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli could not score a run and he would like to amend the same in the second match. Manish Pandey also could not open the account and he too would like to score some runs. MS Dhoni is in great touch and would like to continue his form. Ajinkya Rahane was out cheaply and would like to score run and give India a good start.

Indian bowling was spot on as Indian spinners ran through the Australian batting and they would like to continue the same form going forward in the series. None of the bowlers went wicketless as Yuzvendra Chahal took 3 wickets. Kuldeep Yadav and Hardik Pandya took 2 wickets each. The pace duo Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah took 1 wicket each.
