Mumbai Indians in IPL 10

Mumbai Indians played good Cricket in IPL 10. They finished at the top and met Rising Pune Supergiant in Qualifier 1 which they lost. As they finished in the top two after legue stage so they got another chance. Their bowling got the better of Kolkata Knight Riders’ batting and won them the match. In the batting department Nitish Rana played superbly in the league stage; however, team management chose more experienced Ambati Rayudu in place of him. Parthiv Patel has performed well. Skipper Rohit Sharma hasn’t had the best of the season; however, he is batting decently. Krunal Pandya was superb in Qualifier 2. Kieron Pollard and Hardik Pandya would love to make their team proud in all importan finale.

In bowling department Jasprit Bumrah, Karn Sharma and Mitchell McClenaghan have bowled well. Lasith Malinga hasn’t been in the best of the form as batsmen now anticipate him early; however, on his day he is still the force to reckon. As Karn Sharma is in good form so experienced Harbhajan Singh maty sit out.

Rising Pune Supergiant in IPL 10

Rising Pune Supergiant finished at 2nd spot on the points table and defeated Mumbai Indians in the Qualifier 1. Their most valueble player Ben Stokes went back to national duty; however, RPS didn’t let that affect them. They played superbly as an unit and reached finals. Ajinkya Rahane played a superb inning for them at the most important juncture of the tournament. MS Dhoni is as explosive as it gets. Steve Smith would like to play skipper’s inning in the finale. Rahul Tripathi was out cheaply in the Qualifier 1 after consistent performance in the tournament. He would love to make up for that.

In bowling department Rising Pune Supergiant’s bolwing is not very stong on paper; however, they have done well and as a result the team is in the finals. Jaydev Unadkat is in very good form and among the leading wicket takers. Daniel Christain filled with boots of Ben Stokes in bowling in first play-off. Shardul Thakur has also impressed as a strike bowler. Washington Sundar was pick of the Qualifier 1 and bowled superbly.

Both teams have played three times this season and everytime Rising Pune Supergiant has came out as the winner. Pune would like to keep that stat intact while Mumbai would like to change that. This will be the last match for Rising Pune Supergiant in the IPL so they would like to make this memorable for them while Mumbai Indians would like to win it third time in the first ten years.
