Sebastian Vettel’s desperate effort helped him to edge past Red Bull and secure much-needed pole position in Singapore GP. It was Max Verstappen of Red Bull who posed continues threat, he showed some exceptional skills and pace. Both Ricciardo and Verstappen were neck to neck in first two qualifying sessions and at the end of Q3, they took the position of 2 and 3.

McLaren Honda also put up a decent show as Alonso and Vandoren qualified at the 8th and 9th position. However, both Force Indian driver failed to finished in top 10 drivers. Ferrari teammate Kimmi Raikkonen finished qualified at the fourth position.
