Azerbaijan GP 2017 Qualifying Race Results:

Mercedes moved in a strong position courtesy a thrilling performance of its two drivers. Lewis Hamilton grabbed his 66th pole position of the career. Now he is just behind by 2 poles from all time record holder Michael Schumacher.

Just before 3:33 minutes in final qualifying race the red flag was given. Danial Riccardo of Redbull just hit the wall and red flag was out. Valterri Bottas was in top position and looked all set to take the pole. Hamilton really pressed the accelerator in the last lap to claim his first pole at Azerbaijan GP.

Valtteri Bottas will take second place in Sunday’s Final Race and Kimi Raikkonen will start at the 3rd position. Sebastian Vettel will take the 4th position and Max Verstappen will start at the fifth position.

 

Vettel kept on struggling throughout the race until he gave the final push in dying moments of the final qualifying race. He grabbed the fourth spot after pushing Max Verstappen to 5th position. Disappointment for Max Verstappen who was impressive in FP1 and FP2. He was at the 3rd position in Q3 but two Ferrari Drivers pushed Kimi and Vettel pushed him to 5th position.
